Elle Kadosh
DESIGNER AND FOUNDER OF ELKA
I started ELKA to create homes that feel intentional, refined, and deeply livable. Spaces that are elevated without feeling precious, and designed to be lived in. I initially found my style while living and studying design in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The warmth and restraint of the Southwest shaped how I see space: natural materials, earthy tones, and an effortless sense of place that continues to inform my work today.
In my work, I look for balance. I create spaces with structure and purpose, while still offering comfort and calm. Function always comes first. Price doesn’t always define quality. And the pieces that matter most are often the ones with a story behind them.
Before founding ELKA, I spent over 15 years as a senior designer leading residential and commercial projects across the country. I led teams and projects from concept through completion, refining a process that balances creativity with clarity and vision with execution.
My work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, House Beautiful, CA Home + Design, and Luxe Interiors + Design.
Philosophy
My signature style is warm minimalism: clean lines softened by texture, patina, and collected elements that feel timeless rather than trend-driven.
I design homes for real life—kids, pets, messes, routines, and all. Materials are chosen for both beauty and durability, layouts support everyday rhythms, and nothing feels too precious to be enjoyed. The goal is always the same: spaces that feel calm without feeling cold, refined without trying too hard, and welcoming to everyone who lives there.
Process
Design, for me, is both intuitive and highly considered. I love collaborating with creative clients and see the process as a true partnership. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and translate ideas into spaces that feel intentional and deeply personal.
I work meticulously, creating detailed floor plans, elevations, architectural details, and renderings to ensure clarity and confidence at every stage. This thoughtful, thorough approach allows the design to unfold seamlessly—from big-picture concepts down to the smallest details.
PERSONAL SIDE
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me at home with my children, painting or in garden. These little moments remind me that balance isn’t found in perfection, it’s found in presence.
